Why are you here?

The Singing Men have arrived safe and sound in Kiev, Ukraine.
The Flight C group that traveled through Frankfurt got to the ship about 3:00 a.m. local time this morning. We are all up and ready to face a great first day here in Ukraine.

All went well with the travel. We praise God for that.

This morning Michael Gott challenged us in our devotional time with the question, “Why are you here?” Taken from I Kings 19:9 and the story of Elijah.

We face many hurdles in this city today. From culture, religious, morals, to traffic, many things stand in our way. We truly know that we need a supernatural touch from God to accomplish anything here today.

We have a concert at 5:00 today, at the heart of rush hour traffic. We don’t know if people will make it or not. The church is not big enough to handle the expected crowd at 7:00, so thus a second concert. Pray for God to work miracles and get people to the concert despite traffic issues.

We are anticipating God to do some great things here. We know we are here for a purpose, just like Elijah of old.

Thanks for praying.

We will try to update at least daily after each concert. The internet aboard the ship is slow and not the most dependable, so if you don’t see post, just know that we are trying.

  1. Know guys that we are standing in the gap for you. We love each of you and know that God will do great things there in the Ukraine because of your faithfulness. Go forth you mighty men – you ARE THERE on PURPOSE!

  2. 17h30, it is time to leave my job place in the centre of Kyiv to arrive in Podil for the concert of the SMONCT. There is no programme on line but I am sure every chant by this powerful team will be acclaimed. The weather is paradisiac in the capital of Ukraine. Let’s enjoy the Texas’ Voice ! And happy singing to you, guys! Boh v pomich!
