Friday night in Kherson

Friday was a good day for us. With our late night last night we had our devotional at 11:00 am and let everyone have a leisurely morning. There was a sweet spirit in the air as we met and celebrated the report of the night before. Michael said that it was the largest number of decisions they had ever seen in one night. We are so very grateful for what God is doing.

The afternoon was spent with several going on a short shopping trip for some Ukrainian souvenirs. Then it was time to head to our concert sight.

It was another great night of worship and proclamation. A large crowd of around 1,700 was on hand. The hall was not completely full, but it was a great and enthusiastic crowd. The men were a bit surprised when they stood spontaneously as we sang How Great Thou Art. There was even a few of the ships crew in attendance as well as some former crew members that we met last trip here.

Praise be to God for 596 decisions that were made tonight. He continues to work all around us. Pray for the church here as they follow up on these people.

As we ate dinner tonight the ship has left Kherson and we are headed now to Crimea. Pray for our safety as we sail. Also pray for continued good health.

As a side note, we have heard about the attacks early today in Dnipro, Ukraine. We were there last trip, but are not heading that direction at all this trip. The event there today had no impact on us. Our hearts are heavy for that situation.

Once again I apologize for not getting many pictures or video uploaded yet. The bandwidth of the available Internet is just not allowing it. We will keep trying. We will for sure get out videos and pictures when we return.

Thanks again for so many that are checking up on us and praying. Keep on praying. Yesterday there were views to this blog from 9 different countries. Pray for God to keep surprising us with His wonderful anointing.

  1. What an awesome God!! We take it for granted due to our immense freedom here in the US but don’t see the urgency of other countries where they have not experienced such openness to the Gospel! Truly “How Great Thou Art.” Praying for sailing safety. AMEN

  2. Continuing to read over your prayer guide, and image what it would be like to be there with you guys right now! Praying for health, great concerts, and lives changed as a result! Joey Duncan, Bridgeport

  3. St. John’s Lutheran Church; Mansfield, Tx. is praying and waiting for the next great update. We stand with you all in prayer and are asking the Lord to bless your bodies and spirits.
