Final concert update

We had a great day today as we finished up with our two concerts. The venue was a bit smaller than the others we have sung in. With seating for about 600 we estimate we had about 1,000 total between the two concerts. Though the crowd may have been smaller, they were the most appreciative audience of the entire trip.

We were given flowers on numerous occasions during the concert. Even had a little boy come on stage to Don as we were starting a song to bring flowers. I hoping to find a video or picture of the moment and will share if we do.

We had responses from 419 tonight with a decision for Christ. We give God all the glory for drawing people to himself.

Steve Payne with two ladies that got some of us to concert, then stayed.

A small incident that happened on the way to the concert just shows how God really is in control. We had to walk to the concert hall this afternoon. About a dozen or so of us were walking with one of the Ukrainian team members, Anna. We ended up slightly lost because Anna is not from Yalta. We stopped and she asked a lady for directions. The lady offered to just walk us to the hall. We weren’t way off and came to it right away. We then saw the lady in the concert. Afterwards we asked her if she had planned on coming to the concert or did she just stay after helping us get there. She was not planning on coming, nor had she even heard about it. We just chalked it up to a divine appointment.

Tomorrow we do a little bit of touring Yalta and the ship sails back to Odessa for 20 hours. I hope during that time to do some more articles and wrap up things. So there should be a few more articles.

Thanks for praying. Pray for the follow up that now starts. Pray for us we begin the process of traveling home.

  2. Such a great update and what a wonderful story about your “guide”. The Lord has His hand on that lady so she better watch out.
Ya’ll have a good night’s rest, a good day tomorrow and come on to the house. Texans await and weather is a balmy 91 degrees.
We will continue to hold you all up to the Lord and cover you in blessing and mercy and safety. The Prayer Train continues to run, even to Yalta. PRAY ON!
