Everything Points to Singing Men of Texas – North Central Return to Ukraine

You might have heard already, we are going back again. We depart on April 17, 2017. Much is happening as we prepare to return to Ukraine. This blog site will be refreshing and adding content over the next weeks. This is our lifeline to you, our prayer partners. We cherish your prayers once again as you have so faithfully done in the past.

Coming in the next few days and weeks will be our Prayer Guide, Daily Schedule, & list of Team Members that are going. Please check back and keep up with us.

If you would like to see us before we go, we invite you to our final concert before leaving for Ukraine on Thursday, April 6, 2017 at Cliff Temple Baptist Church in Dallas. Click here for address and directions. The free concert starts at 6:45 with our instrumental pre-concert music. We would love for you to join us in our time of worship and concert.

We once again will be partnering with evangelist Michael & Jan Gott. It has been a wonderful 10 year partnership that we have shared. Michael is great at helping us be prepared spiritually. He often writes and sends us challenging and inspirational emails. We close this post with a word from Michael.

Thanks for your prayer support. Check back often as this site will become more and more active.

The Michael Gott Association has spent many hours in prayer and planning with key leaders for the 2017 evangelistic music tour of Ukraine. Pastors and bishops have been very positive and totally supportive. Michael Gott commented recently, “We have not met with a single situation that indicated indifference or a less-than-cooperative spirit. All along I felt God was in our return—but now even more so. We have purposefully waited in order to be sensitive to God’s timing. Since we were here last, we can sense God’s guidance in every step toward this return.” Gott added, “The vision God gave to Don and the Singing Men of North Central Texas some time ago is now being fulfilled in His perfect timing.”

One of the Baptist bishops commented, “It seems to us that God has placed the choir from Texas and Michael Gott at a unique and opportune point in modern Ukrainian history. In this nation, the fields are ripe for harvest.” Many churches that will be involved will be challenged to a renewed dedication with a new priority on evangelism. It is believed that there will not be any way or anywhere that the tour will be relegated to an event that takes second place to other activities in Baptist life.

Again Michael Gott said after his time there this spring, “We all should be thankful for the evidence that in these troubled times in Ukraine, there is a renewed burden for effective evangelism in so many churches. May those of us to whom God has entrusted a special ministry of evangelism take full advantage of the opportunities we have.” Ukraine today desperately hungers for hope, yet uncounted people have almost given up. SMONCT will come to offer real hope and new life in Christ.
