We Were In Ukraine Tonight!

Ministry Day 8 & 9 – April 26-27, 2023

This report covers both our days in Warsaw as we have wrapped up this incredible tour. Our concerts both nights were in the same theater located in a very bustling modern area of Warsaw. The theater was literally right at a mile from our hotel but both evenings it took us at least 20 to 30 minutes to get there by bus.

Last night’s concert was attended by about 80 people. While it was disappointing, we know that 80 people heard the gospel and they were very gracious and happy to be there. They still got the full concert and it was wonderful evening.

Today we shared our last devotional inside the Baptist church here in Warsaw which was just a five minute walk from our hotel. Michael challenged us to be sure and recognize and thank those in our paths who have made impacts in our ministries and life. Our devotionals are always a refreshing time on our trips. In the afternoon the group had time to explore Warsaw. Most went to Old Town Warsaw for exploring and souvenir shopping. Many family members and friends are getting pottery made here in Poland for gifts.

Tonight’s concert was hosted and organized by the Ukrainian Baptist Church here in Warsaw that actually meets at the Polish First Baptist Church. We have looked forward to this concert for a very long time.

The room filled quickly and it was an audience of around 700 mostly Ukrainian people who have fled here to Poland since the start of the war. Their energy and excitement made for the feel of concerts many of us remembered from past Ukraine trips. In many ways it felt like we were in Ukraine. Check out the stream link in the previous post and see for yourself. What an amazing night of worship.

While this trip has not seen attendance numbers like we have seen on past trips into Ukraine we are grateful for all that attended. We pray that the seeds of the gospel that have been planted will grow and that these who came will indeed find a new and fresh walk with Christ.

We are now packing and preparing to come home to Texas! It is a short night. The first wave is to leave the hotel at 3:00 am to catch 6:00 am flights. Pray for an uneventful travel day for all of our team. Even tonight there are some hiccups happening with those on Delta and Air France. Please pray that those flights will all get straightened out.

Thank you for being a valued prayer partner with us. You serve a vital role. If you are in the Dallas area, our final concert of the season will be on Thursday, May 18th at FBC Rockwall. We would love to have you there. It will be a great night of worship, music and celebrating what God us done.

The photos below are from both nights not in any particular order. Once again thanks to Kelly Moore for supplying most of these this trip.
